1.)Describe your character's relationship with their mother or their father, or both. Was it good? Bad? Were they spoiled rotten, ignored? Do they still get along now, or no?

Carbon was raised without a father in her household and she quite resents the man for abandoning the family when she was such a young child, only five at the time. Her mother changed then, and became a rather strong, independent woman and raised her child to be the same. Her relationship with her mother is strong and very present, but at the same time tense and stretched thin from time to time, due to an overwhelming pressure from her. Carbon was never spoiled and had to work to earn everything. Today, nothing has changed. Her mother continues to pressure her from the sidelines, coaching Carbon on how to run the Non Metals like she once did.

2.)What are your characters most prominent physical features?

Carbon's most prominent physical feature would have to be her eyes; though they're red, a strange color as is, it's more of how expressive they are that makes them stand out. Dark and obviously unnatural, when she looks at you, it almost feels as if she can look straight through you and any lies you may be telling. They seem to cut a person down, but in the same, they also reveal her moods really well. If she's happy, they'll smile too, but when she's sad, her eyes also appear depressed.

3.)Name one scar your character has, and tell us where it came from. If they don't have any, is there a reason?

She has plenty of scars on her knees from playing volleyball in high school. The ace of the team, it wasn't uncommon for her to dive towards the ground in order to save the ball, giving her burns and scratches constantly. She also has a scar on her left wrist from her where she landed on it and broke the bone. The bone had pierced the skin and the stitches she received for it left the mark. Because her group works more prominently in trade and finances, she really has no scars from work.

4.)How vain is your character? Do they find themselves attractive?

Carbon isn't an extremely vain character, but she does find herself to be an attractive woman. Though it  hasn't always been the case, she's now a self confident woman who knows how to make herself appealing. She really only uses her feminine charms when she's desperate to convince a group to make deals with her, but otherwise she acts more as she sees fit. She loves wearing clothes that look good on her though and will, from time to time, flaunt them.

5.)What's your character's ranking on the KINSEY SCALE?

Carbon is straight despite having a hard time trusting the male race, a doubt buried in her by her father.

6.)Describe your character's happiest memory.

Carbon's happiest memory would have to be the moment where she graduated from high school as the number one student. She'd received high honors, enough scholarships to go to college through volleyball and academics, and everybody had been proud of her speech. Of course, she wasn't allowed to take that road, but she'd still been happy enough to know she'd achieved it.

7) Is there one event or happening your character would like to erase from their past? Why?

There's nothing really Carbon would want to erase. She's firm in believing that everything happens for a reason, and to tamper with that would be to tamper with who she is today, and she's completely satisfied with that.

8.) Day of Favorites! What's your character's favorite ice cream flavor? Color? Song? Flower?

Carbon's favorite ice cream flavor is chocolate ice cream with a cherry on top, always. Her favorite color is red, but white comes in a close second. She doesn't really listen to music so she doesn't have a favorite song, but if she had to pick a genre, it'd probably be rock or R & B, both rather different. Her favorite flower is the Calla Lily for it's elegance and rarity.

9.)  Who does your character trust?

Trust wise, it would have to be her mother, as much as they hate a love hate relationship, and the family she's come to have within the Non Metals. However, the trust there is perhaps stronger than that with her mother's, where she's willing to give her life for them and she would trust her own with them. The one she has with her mother almost feels as if it's there because she's obligated through family.

10.)Can you define a turning point in your character's life? Multiples are acceptable.

When Carbon was a child, the disappearance of her father set her mother on a new path which had Carbon tied to it by every whim. In order to survive, her mother even began taking odd jobs on the side which eventually led to her managing the Non Metals branch of the underground mafia. Carbon was unaware of it until she turned sixteen. It was then she was forced to train to take her mother's place, despite being told she also had to be the ace student in class and sports.

11.)Is there an animal you equate with your character?

Perhaps a little strange, Carbon does remind of a cat. Like a cat, she'll come to trust people with time so long as they do her no wrong. She's also quite accustomed to routine and seems to be watching everything. If she's messed with, she's got a feisty attitude.

12.)How is your character with technology? Super savvy, or way behind the times? Letters or email?

Carbon isn't quite as talented with technology as some of the other Non Metals members, but she does know her way around weapons. She also knows enough about computers to use them efficiently, and she does have her phone. She'd rather make phone calls or text than email, feeling that it's a more direct approach to get what you need.

13.) What does your character's bed look like when he/she wakes up? Are the covers off on one side of the bed, are they all curled around a pillow, sprawled everywhere? In what position might they sleep?

Carbon sleeps on the left side of her bed, turned towards the center with her back facing outward. It helps her because she tends to roll the way she's facing, though it's not a frenzy when she sleeps. Easily cold during the night, she has three to four layers of blankets which become only slightly messed up as she moves about. Her pillow is flat, but from time to time she'll use her arm on top of her pillow to help her sleep. She also needs quiet music in the background or the sound of a clock ticking nearby.

14.)How does your character react to temperature changes such as extreme heat and cold?

She'll tend to freak out if there's a such a heavy change in temperatures. Because she prefers warm weather over cold, if it's extremely cold she'll definitely verbalize her discomfort and start bury herself in layers of clothes, blankets, jackets, etc depending. However, if it's too hot, it's more likely you'll just see her wearing less and less clothes or she'll just be perfectly content.

15.)Is your character an early morning bird or a night owl?

Carbon is more of a night owl. She can stay up until ungodly hours but getting up in the morning has always been one of her greatest struggles. It's a fight that takes quite a bit out of her so catching her in the morning means you'll most likely be dealing with a cranky Carbon.

16.)Are there any blood relatives that your character is particularly close with, besides the immediate ones? Are there any others that your character basically considers a relative?

No, there are no other blood relatives in Carbon's life. However, she does consider Selenium like a little sister to her since they're both always doting on each other. Otherwise, that's really it.

17.) What's your character's desk/workspace look like? Are they neat or messy?

Her workspace is organized most of the time, but if she's really stressed, papers will start to pile up and office supplies will be scattered about. It never really gets out of hand though and it's definitely something she's good at controlling.

18.)Is your character a good cook? What's their favorite recipe, whether they're good or not? (Microwave mac-and-cheese applies.)

Carbon is a delightful cook and has a good amount of dishes she can make, but she doesn't really like to be stuck in the kitchen at all. It's not because of feminist reasons, but more because it just reminds her of how ungodly independent she had to be while her mother was always away, and so she leaves Selenium to do much of the cooking. She loves making bread though and eating it fresh out of the oven.

19.)What's your character's preferred means of travel?

She likes driving around in her car, but is always a little bit uncomfortable when she's not behind the wheel. As for major travel, she likes boats and isn't too fond of planes.

20.)Does your character have any irrational fears?

Her most irrational fear would have to be her fear of mice/rats.

21.)What's a recent goal your character has had?

Carbon wants to settle things between the brothers in her group, especially because she seems to be the center of the problem. So she plans to let Nitrogen know of her feelings and gently turn down Oxygen. The whole idea scares her but she's decided on it.

22.)If your character could time travel, where would they go?

Knowing Carbon, she'd most likely travel back in time far enough to see Rome during its period of greatness, or perhaps to a time where her mother and father were once happy so she could see what that would've been like.

23.)Is your character superstitious?

Carbon isn't overbearingly superstitious, but she doesn't like it when a black cat crosses her road or when she breaks any sort of mirror. She just feels those to be unlucky things. Otherwise, she's pretty chill about things.

24.)What might your character's ideal romantic partner be?

Carbon wants somebody she's compatible with; someone who works hard to impress her and honestly wants her to be a part of his life. She wants somebody with intelligence and strength in character and someone who can provide the feeling of protection but who isn't overbearing either. She especially commands the other be a stable person who will give her a sense of security and who she knows won't leave her side.

25.)Describe your character's hands. Are they small, long, calloused, smooth, stubby?

Carbon's hands are small and delicate looking. They're smooth, but her right hand has a callous from where she writes so much and always wrote too much in her educational career. However, they seem unnaturally soft and work deftly.

26.)Second day of favorites! Favorite comfort food, favorite vice, favorite outfit, favorite hot drink, favorite time of year, and favorite holiday.
Favorite comfort food: Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies
Favorite Vice: N/A
Favorite Outfit: Long red dress with her black heels. Usually wears a black suit coat over it. Silver pair of earrings and a white watch as well.
Favorite Hot Drink: Milk with honey
Favorite time of the Year: Summer
Favorite Holiday: Thanksgiving, all the food involved

27.)Pick two songs that describe your character at two different points of their life, and explain why you chose them.

I hate to disappoint, but I can't really find anything to fit her....

28.)If your character's life was a genre, what would it be?

A soap opera; a drama with enough romance problems that would make the average viewer cringe with second hand pain. A slice of life too.

29.)How does your character smell? Do they wear perfume or cologne?

Carbon smells fierce, almost spice like; it has a cinnamon twist that's diluted by the sweet scent of laundry. Her perfume too is sharp and smoky, but the smell is never overwhelming, and is instead gives off a comfortable feeling of familiarity.

30.)And finally: Write a letter to your character, from yourself.

Dear Carbon,

You have been one of the hardest characters to portray. At first, I thought, damn this girl is fierce, but at that point, I'd failed to look at the layers I'd already implanted upon you. Yes, it's true, you're quite a lot like me, almost too much in fact. But at the same time, you're your own person and have no affiliation to me. If I had been in any of the situations you've been through, I wouldn't have survived, pulled through and come out so strong. I admire that about you. I'm sorry you're entire life has been a challenge and that there seems to be no rest for you in sight. Even currently, with the boys, it's a big dilemma. About the boys; Oxygen and Nitrogen. I'm pretty sure you care about them the same and I know you don't want to upset either. I know I really didn't want to. And if it'd been up to me, I wouldn't have chosen either and I would've escaped. But with the person you are, you were bound to choose one over the other. And so I back up your decision to the fullest and I feel like I should take the guilt you feel over the other for myself. After all, you deserve some happiness. Keep staying strong okay? I'd make this letter longer but... there's too many reasons as to why that's a bad idea.

Yours truly,
Diana

P.S. You're also such a motherly figure. Have all the babies, alright?!
I'm just gonna keep pumping these out for fun!
It helps to entertain me and give me something to do <3
